OrthoK (orthokeratology) uses specially designed rigid lenses worn overnight to gently and temporarily reshape the surface of your cornea. When you remove them in the morning, your eyes hold that new shape — giving clear vision all day, without glasses or daytime contact lenses. It's non-surgical, fully reversible, and used both for vision correction and to help slow myopia progression.

Our expert practitioner custom designs your OrthoK lenses based on your individual eye shape, for the best comfort, vision and treatment outcome.
Usually around 2 weeks after your assessment. We check the fit on your eye and guide you through insertion, removal, handling and lens care.
Regular reviews are essential for every OrthoK patient. In the first 12 months we recommend more frequent visits — typically at 1 week, then 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months (more complex cases may need additional visits). After the first year, reviews are usually every 6 months once your eyes are stable.
We offer the full range of evidence-based myopia management options, so your treatment plan is built entirely around what's right for you — not what we happen to stock.
About your appointment: while you've booked in specifically to be assessed for OrthoK lenses, our clinic offers every evidence-based myopia management option available, for both children and adults. After your comprehensive assessment, your optometrist will discuss your suitability for OrthoK and advise whether it's the best fit for your case — or whether you might be better suited to one of the other treatments below.

Measures the physical length of your eye to 0.01mm accuracy — helping us track subtle changes over time and monitor your progress with precision.
Maps the cornea's surface in high-precision 3D, assessing the profile of your corneal shape for suitability of OrthoK design and fitting to achieve the desired outcome.
Recommended if you have high myopia (>−5.00D) or long eye axial length (>26mm) — it is important to screen the peripheral retina for irregularities. Optos captures up to 200° of the retina in a single scan, without dilating drops.
Private billing clinic — Medicare rebates apply to eligible consultations and are processed on the day.
Medicare rebate of $34.00–$67.85 may apply depending on eligibility, processed after your consultation. Clinic booking policy: For late cancellations within 2 business days or non-attendance, a $50 fee applies.
